Response to 'The American Theatre'

I absolutely agree with your blog post, Guns don't kill students, students kill students. I think it's going to take a lot of work to get rid of and/or redefine the second amendment and if it IS ever amended, it's going to take a long time and an army to regulate the mass amounts of firearms in the U.S. In the meantime, friendliness can go a long way. I don't know if assigning counselors to students at school will exactly improve the attitudes of millions of kids but it couldn't do any harm. I also think this issue starts more with activities at home and how kids spend their free time. Children/teens look up to family members and if someone is a complete a**hole, they are more likely to develop that same attitude or eventually become depressed. Let's start by influencing good character at home and setting positive examples for youths.

Is this wall worth it?

I strongly believe that building a wall at the U.S.-Mexico border would be a waste of time and taxpayers money.There are a total of 1,954 miles along the U.S.-Mexico border altogether. It roughly took 6 years to build the 653 mile long fence along parts of the border in Texas, California, and Arizona. There are many predictions as to when this wall is going to start and how long it will take to build, but so far the development has acquired problems such as angry citizens, lawsuits, and budget issues.  According to fortune.com , the plans have shuffled from building a 30 ft high, 1,954 mile long wall to a more “modest” 722 mile long boundary and simultaneously updating the current fencing that already exists. So far there have been 8 wall prototypes built in a desert outside of San Diego California. The biggest questions here are; Who’s going to pay for it? Who’s going to build it? Grifter or Gipper?

Is Trump a grifter? Was Ronald Reagan a Gipper? According to the dictionary, a grifter is basically a conman. The term “Gipper” came from Ronald Reagan’s short-term acting career when he plays a football star from the 1920’s. So far into Trump's presidency, there's been more mischief and golf than actual change. Although Ronald Reagan wasn't the coolest of presidents, the scandals under his control were less scandalous. In this article,   Reagan was the Gipper. Trump is the grifter. , written by Max Boot, he evaluates some of the problems under Ragans control and some under Trump's circus ring. I think the writer did a good job of assessing issues they've both experienced under their administration.
